David Thompson is managing director of wealth investments and distribution, AXA Wealth, reporting to Mike Kellard, CEO. David has overall responsibility for the business’s investment and distribution strategy.
David has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Latterly as director of distribution for Winterthur Life, David was responsible for developing Winterthur’s depolarisation strategy and was instrumental in launching the company’s Professional Edge adviser support initiative. During the six years in this role Winterthur saw new business grow by 710%.
David has a BA Honours in Economics and is an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute and the Chartered Institute of Management. In 2005 David achieved a Diploma in Business Management. He joined Winterthur in 1999 from the Zurich Group as regional sales manager.
In his spare time David is a keen football supporter - an interest he shares with his fourteen-year-old son.
