Lou Macari[

Head of business services, AXA Elevate

Lou Macari is head of business services at AXA Elevate, which was established in 2007 and is now part of AXA Wealth.

In his role at AXA Elevate, Lou is responsible for platform and business consultancy support available to advisers adopting the Elevate platform. As a management consultant, Lou has worked with a broad range of businesses, from sole traders to small, medium and large firms, from a variety of different industries. His specialist areas of expertise include business transformation, change management, business marketing, profitability and financial management, performance management and people development.

Lou’s entrepreneurial career began with opening of one of Scotland’s very first audio visual businesses in 1980, and continued by later managing a restaurant in the early nineties.

Lou then began working with Glasgow University, supporting the delivery of business workshops and advising would-be entrepreneurs around starting their own business. This interest led to taking his MBA and so began his full time career in business lecturing and consulting. Lou worked as a business adviser with Business Link in London, and later as a management development consultant at Zurich Financial Services before joining AXA in August 2001.

Lou has an economics & marketing degree and an MBA from Strathclyde University.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Management Consultants, a Diploma Member of the Market Research Society, and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

He is married with three children.
