AXA Wealth is to host a series of IFA seminars exploring the regulation of platforms and what it means for advisers. The seminars start on 26 May and run through to 28 July.
Each two hour event will start by the Professional Edge service* taking advisers through the FSA’s recent platform discussion paper, examining the changes in regulation and the impact they may have on the decisions advisers make when choosing and using a platform.
The seminars will also cover platform remuneration in connection with advised sales, delivering adviser charging through platforms, the use of platforms by independent advisers and the transfer of assets between platforms.
Following the discussions around the industry, representatives from Elevate, AXA’s own award-winning wrap platform, will then present AXA’s solutions to the issues raised.
David Thompson, managing director, wealth investments and distribution, AXA Wealth, says: “It is clear that platforms have a huge role to play in helping the industry achieve the desired outcomes from RDR, and it is our responsibility as a product provider to work closely with advisers to ensure we are moving forward together.”
There are a number of events throughout the UK from 26 May – 28 July. To find your nearest seminar please call 0845 129 9993.
